Hedges & Trees

Ponds, lakes, streams and rivers provide habitat for a range of plants and animals, and are important features of the landscape. We can advise you on ways of enhancing the wildlife and sporting value of existing water, and identify sources of funding available for improvement works.

We also carry out pond creation and riverbank restoration, supply appropriate aquatic plants, and are involved in many other water and wetland projects.

The planting and management of hedgerows, spinneys and specimen trees is an important plank of government policy which can attract grant aid. Greenlink Forestry Ltd. offers expert advice tailored to achieve specific objectives, such as hedges designed to attract butterflies, provide winter colour, or food for farmland birds.

We carry out a professional planting and aftercare service. We also supply good quality hedging plants, shrubs and trees (including specimen trees), and associated accessories.

Traditional Grassland

The decline in traditional meadows and pastures has adversely affected many native wildlife species. Consequently, the management of existing sites as well as the creation of new wildflower-rich grassland is a priority, and can attract grant-aid from a number of sources.

We also design and supply site-specific seed mixes, combining information about soil and geology, current and past management, and the availability of seed of local provenance.
